Investigators are asking members of Johnson County to keep their eyes open for any vehicles that have been recently damaged. If any are spotted, authorities should be contacted immediately.

Police are searching for the driver of a hit and run accident on highway 172 in Johnson County. 37 year old Mark Little was found lying in the middle of the street... he pronounced dead at the scene. Family is grief-stricken over the accident and the death of Little's father last week. They are too upset to speak much about the ordeal, but hope the driver is brought to justice.

Most states require that you pull over and exchange identification and contact information. Procedures are slightly different in certain states, but there are consequences in all for any hit and run accident. At minimum, you get a traffic ticket. In more serious accidents, involving death and injury, you can be charged with a 'felony hit and run'.
