Early Tuesday morning in downtown Catlettsburg two train engines collided injuring 4 crew members of CSX Railroad sending them to the hospital. CSX Railroad did not release the names or condition of the workers although Catlettsburg police said the injuries appeared to be minor. There were two locomotives on each train with no rail cars attached to either. One locomotive derailed, the other stayed upright. Reports say one locomotive may have rear-ended the other but that has not been confirmed. The collision did cause a diesel fuel spill onto the ground, but there was no fire.
