Heavy rains may have caused a tractor trailer accident Friday just outside of Columbia on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway. The driver apparently lost control ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail, then crossed the westbound lanes, overturned and landed in the median. The Adair County Rescue Squad had to extricate the driver who was then transported to the University of Louisville Hospital. The parkway was closed both ways for about 3 hours.
