Police recovered the body yesterday after the Semi plunged into the Licking River after striking a vehicle stopped in the emergency lane on Tuesday night. The vehicle he struck was unoccupied at the time of the incident. Part of I-64 was shut down for more than 20 hours due to the accident. The driver of the truck was still in the drivers seat, wearing a seat belt. The truck landed in about 30 feet of water, diesel fuel did leak but did not pose a hazard. Retrieval of the drivers body had to be put off until the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Cave Run Lake could reduce the flow of water into the river.
