Semi Truck Accident Takes the Life of Southern Illinois Student Ryan Rendleman

A Semi Truck Accident has taken the life of a Southern Illinois Sudent.  The Semi Truck was driven by Kevin Morrison of Beecher City.  He slammed into the back of the car of Southern Illinois student, Ryan Rendleman from Batvia.  Morrison was ticketed for Failing to Reduce Speed and Failure to Keep a Log Book. 

The car driven by Ryan Rendleman was stopped in a Construction area.  Morrison said he was looking down at the Radio and did not notice the car in front of him. 

The Semi Truck Death Accident is sure to prompt a Wrongful Death Lawsuit from the family of Rendleman.  The family will be able to recover for Ryan's Lost Earnings Capacity, Pain and Suffering and Loss of Consortium.   

Semi Trucks and a Tractor Trailer such as the one driven by Morrison are governed under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act (FMCSA).  This is the Law that says Interstate Truckers are supposed to carry Log Books.
