Roberts, a five-year veteran of the Kentucky State Police, accidentally <a href="http://www.wpsdlocal6.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=6f6bed92-02e3-471b-a4da-03c3a13072f4">struck two bicyclists on Sunday evening when he swerved to avoid a car </a>that had stopped in the street.</p> <p></p> <p>The first bicyclist, Chris Powers, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner, Doug Bowling. Kevin Alshouse was the second bicyclist and was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
