There were thirteen fatalities during the third week of the year on Kentucky Roadways (January 14-20).All of these fatalities were traveling in Motor Vehicles and eleven were NOT wearing their seatbelts. A Kentucky Car Crash in Gallatin County claimed four lives. Since the start of the year ten fatalities are suspected to be alcohol related.

Twelve People Die on Kentucky Highways and Interstate during the second week of the year, January 7-13. There were 12 Kentucky Auto Accidents that involved deaths January 7-13Eleven of the victims were in Motor Vehicles and eight of them were not wearing their seatbelts. Four of the fatalities involved suspected use of Alcohol.

Seventeen people died last week on Kentucky Roadways, February 24-March 2, which puts 2008 on a pace slightly ahead of 2007. Twelve of the victims were in Motor Vehicles and eight were not wearing their seatbelts. Four of the Fatalities are suspected DUI Wrongful Death Accidents.

Roger Darnall of Paducah Kentucky was killed late last night when his truck overturned on U.S. 62 near Reildland at the intersection of Highway 1887. McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies closed the road for several hours to investigate the causes of the accident.

A five year old young boy was hit by a Federal Express Truck Wednesday in Paducah Kentucky. The Auto Accident took place near the home of Zavion Thomas on North 10th Street. Zavion was later transferred to Kosair Chidren's Hospital in Louisville Kentucky.

Haley Scott and Jennifer Crow were killed on an icy Western Kentucy highway. Both were thrown from the car in which they were passengers. This was among several other Kentucky Auto Accidents that were attributed to the massive snow and ice storms that swept through the region.

A two vehicle crash Saturday sent two to the Hospital and one to jail. Henderson police say and 18 year old was traveling on KY 351 around 8 p.m. at a high rate of speed when he crossed the center line and hit a 53 year old Henderson woman. I-65 northbound was closed for two hours Sunday near downtown by a one vehicle crash that injured five and killed one. Police say the driver was ejected after his Ford Aerostar van overturned around 10:30 yesterday morning. An accident Saturday on I-65 in Barren County claimed the life of an Elizabethtown woman who was traveling with her family. The Chevrolet Tahoe was towing a 20-foot travel trailer when the trailer began to sway the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Tahoe then left the road and hit a rock wall and overturned. A school bus crash Thursday morning in Bullitt County sent two children to the hospital and left 16 others to be evaluated. The bus driver had to swerve when a white pickup truck was in his lane of traffic. The bus left the road and stuck a ditch and came to a halt between a post and tree. A recall by Ford Motor Company involves more than 3.6 million vehicles. The speed control deactivation switch could cause a fire. Ford is taking this action due to concerns of customers about the potential of fires in their vehicles.
