West Virgina Man Killed in Kentucky Motorcycle Accident

A motorcycle accident claimed the life of a West Virginia man in eastern Kentucky over the weekend.

The 36-year-old motorcyclist, of Varney, West Virginia, was traveling in Pike County on Saturday when he lost control of the motorcycle. He exited the road and crashed into a tree.

The man was thrown from his motorcycle and struck his head on a rock, according to officials. Rescue arrived on the scene and transported him by helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington where he was announced dead.
