The man who was driving a Lincoln ran the red light and stuck a pickup truck that had two women in it who were on First Street and had the right of way. The two women were ejected from the pickup and were not wearing seatbelts, they were taken to the University of Louisville Hospital where they were listed in critical condition. The driver of the Lincoln died at the scene of the crash, he was wearing a seatbelt and his airbags did deploy.
