Kentucky Court Refuses To Allow Lesbian Adoptions

The same appeals court that would not allow lesbian partners to adopt children, allowed a pair to keep their child after one of them was artificially inseminated.

The ruling noted that stepparent adoptions are only allowed when the stepparent is married to the other biological parent. It also noted that same-sex marriages are not allowed in Kentucky.
