Thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals leftover from the Tuesday CSX train crash in Bullitt County begins. CSX workers began burning it off in a controlled burn. A huge pit of 90,000 gallons of 1, 3-butadiene from three rail cars is where they started. 14 cars caught fire in the crash from the 80-car train that was headed from Louisville to Birmingham, AL. Around 500 people were evacuated some have returned, some have not and federal and county officials do not know when they might be able to return home. Several houses suffered significant damage. Investigators were interviewing the crew and inspecting cars for clues.

"Mark Rosenker, chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board, said it could take more than a year for officials to determine what likely caused the crash Tuesday that spewed clouds of hazardous chemicals over Brooks. But officials had all but ruled out sabotage."
