Two Vehicle Accident Sends 5 to Hospital

A Somerset man was injured Friday around 12:30 p.m. along with 4 people from Waynesburg in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Ky. 70. The 80 year-old Somerset man was injured when his pick-up was struck by a southbound vehicle on U.S. 27. He was leaving a business on the west side of U.S. 27 when in an attempt to cross 27 and enter Ky. 70 he was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by a 21-year old Waynesburg woman. The Somerset man, and a 13-year-old passenger from the other vehicle were transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle and two other passengers an 11-year-old and 9-year-old were transported to the Somerset Hospital.
