Two School Bus Accidents Sends 7 Children to Hospital

According to the Courier Journal two Jefferson County Public School Buses were involved in accidents this morning that injured seven children. One bus going to Zachary Taylor Elementary was broadsided by a van at Langdon Drive and Westport Road. Seven students were taken to Kosair Children's Hospital with injuries. The driver of the van was also taken to a hospital.

About the same time a bus taking students to Greathouse/Shyrock Traditional School was struck by one of two cars involved in a collision at Dorsey Lane and Foxboro Drive. No children were injured, but one driver of one of the vehicles involved was taken to the hospital.
