Early Wednesday morning both the east and westbound lanes of U.S. 62 were blocked when a semi lost control and dropped off the shoulder and overturned. The driver had just picked up a load of lumber from Baillie Lumber when he dropped off the side of the shoulder, over corrected, overturning losing the large load of lumber into the grassy area just east of the Dollar General Store. He was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Traffic was stopped just east of the accident waiting for it to be cleaned up when a car rammed into the rear of another vehicle causing it to hit the rear of the vehicle in front of it.
