A 12 year old boy was struck while riding his skateboard on 146 in LaGrange by a truck. The boy was flown to University Hospital in Louisville with head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet or other protective gear. Traffic was shut down though the city for about 3 hours while police reconstructed the accident scene.

"Many children skateboard on city streets because there's no skate park.
LaGrange Mayor Elsie Carter said she has pushed for a skate park in the city to provide a safe place for skaters.
She said asphalt is being poured for a temporary skate park, but it's not open yet.
"I just want these kids to know the consequences of skating in the street," she said."
