Bus drivers in Kentucky could be barred from using cell phones while transporting children under a bill approved Thursday in the Senate. The measure already passed the house 96-0 and cleared the senate Judiciary Committee. There would be some exceptions such as emergencies or the bus not being equipped with a two-way radio and they need to communicate with school officials. The bills lead sponsor is Rep. Royce Adams and he hopes the bill will ensure that the drivers will have their attention on what they are doing.
