Police Cruiser Strikes and Kills Man on Watterson Expressway

Late Saturday night a Louisville Metro Police Officer's vehicle struck and killed a 37 year old man who was standing outside his van, the vehicle then struck the van. It is unclear why the van was stopped. The driver of the van died at the scene from injuries according to a Jefferson County deputy coroner. Two passengers were taken to University Hospital with injuries, one was in critical condition the others condition is unknown. The officer was also taken to the University Hospital with serious injuries.
