An article on wpsdlocal6.com tells us that a Murray Police Officer will appear in court in two weeks to answer reckless driving charges from a wreck that ended with the death of Everett Ray Walker.

Although emergency signals were activated at the time of the wreck, Patrolman Cooper and Walker hit head-on on while Cooper was responding to an emergency call. Walker was later pronounced dead at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. A similar article from murrayledger.com, says that a later autopsy determined his death resulted from multiple blunt force trauma.

Cooper is due in court on September 8.
