An accident in Russell County on US 127 sent a Wayne County man to the University of Kentucky Hospital. According to the police the accident happened when a 31 year old woman from Yosemite was traveling south when the pickup truck in front of her stopped suddenly, to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of her she steered into the north bound lane and into the path of a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motor cycle struck the passenger door and then crossed the lane ejecting the driver. He was not wearing a helmet and had to be airlifted to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.
