Mexican Trucks Driving American Roadways Raise Valid Concerns

The Bush administration recently authorized yet another Mexican based carrier to travel the highways of the United States. This brings the toll tohttp://www.citizen.org/pressroom/release.cfm?ID=2583 traveling our highways from Mexico. The main concern for American drivers is


who will be liable if one of these trucks causes an accident in which a citizen of the United States is either seriously injured or killed. I'm sure the FMCSA (federal motor carrier safety administration) has negotiated some sort of policy with the Mexican government, however, when dealing with other countries there are not guarantees.
