KSP Trooper Killed in Pike County Crash

Tuesday evening around 6:20 p.m. Kentucky State Police Trooper Jonathan K. Leonard was involved in an accident with another vehicle on US 119 in the community of Sidney. He was a three year veteran of the department and spent the entire time with the Pikeville Post. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the Pikeville Medical Center and later flown to University of Kentucky Medical Center for his injuries. Trooper Leonard was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Deputy Coroner.
