Kentucky assistant attorney general has been charged with drunken driving by Louisville police.

Jason Moore, 33, told police he was at a concert where he had his last drink at the end. When asked by police to take a field sobriety test he refused, but police say he smelled very strongly of alcohol, was unsteady on his feet and had bloodshot eyes.

Upon inspecting his car police discovered a cup with beer still in it.

Moore was charged with first-offense driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of an open container, yesterday.

Attorney general's office spokesman Corey Bellamy confirms that Moore is an assistant there. He says Attorney General Greg Stumbo is aware of the charge but has no further comment.
