Head-On Crash Kills Child in Boone County

A 4-year-old child is dead and an 8-year-old is in serious condition after a head-on crash in Boone County Thursday morning. Around 6 a.m. a pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old from Covington turned in front of a 29-year-old resident of Independence. The 8-year-old was taken to Children's Hospital by ambulance the 4-year-old was taken by Air Care. The 4-year-old died later at the hospital. Four adults were taken to Saint Luke West Hospital in Florence, Ky. The Covington driver has been charged with failure to yield and not having a drivers license.
