Head-on Collision Injures Richmond Policeman

A head-on collision injured a Richmond, KY police officer Saturday night around 9 p.m. A Pontiac Grand Prix heading for a prom on the EKU campus ran a stop sign at I75 exit 90A, crossing 2 lanes of traffic and the median striking the officers vehicle, injuring the officer and his K-9 dog. The officer was sent to the University of Kentucky hospital with a leg injury and the dog to a veterinarian. The driver of the Pontiac was arrested for driving on a suspended license and his three passengers were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
