An accident on July 4th around 10:45 p.m. sent a family of four to area hospitals. Apparently a 38 year old off duty state trooper crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck head- on injuring all 4 family members. Two adults were taken to University Hospital and two children ages ten and three were taken to Children's Hospital. The state trooper was taken to University Hospital also. Police continue to investigate a possible cause for the accident.
