Crash In Letcher County Claims 2 Lives

Saturday morning around 1:50 a.m. a single vehicle crash on KY 119 in Payne Gap left 2 Letcher men dead as a result of injuries. A 29 year old Sand Lick man went off the read and struck a wooden fence. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Letcher County's Coroner. A 22 year old Sand Lick man died of a head injury after being transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital. No seat belts were in use. Alcohol may have been a contributing factor.
