The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Moore Hill in Corbin. The boy entered the highway from a path in the woods striking the right front fender of the car. The boy hit the windshield of the vehicle shattering it. He was taken to Baptist Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Kentucky State Police Trooper A. J. Bunch said the boy did not appear to be seriously injured. Police were not sure if the boy was wearing a helmet. His bicycle was left lying in the weeds along the road, about 30 feet behind the car. It did not appear to be seriously damaged.
