Bicyclist Killed in Collision With Kentucky State Trooper

Christopher W. Roberts, a five-year veteran of the Kentucky State Police, accidentally struck two bicyclists on Sunday evening when he swerved to avoid a car that had stopped in the street.

The first bicyclist, Chris Powers, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner, Doug Bowling. Kevin Alshouse was the second bicyclist and was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Roberts was treated for minor injuries as well.

This is another in a long list of Accidents lately in Kentucky involving Police Cruisers and Car/bicycle/pedestrians.
